Maple Parents Celebrate Success

Bright Start Family Literacy
Promotes Positive Parent Involvement

Bright Start Family Literacy has provided many of our participating parents with tools for interacting more positively with their children as well as giving them confidence and knowledge that they are an important part of the partnership with the school. No other contracted program has been as successful, in our school, as Bright Start, in helping our parents build literacy success and meaningful bonds with their children. I have found that parents are now more willing to come into the school to positively share either their thoughts and ideas or concerns. I would encourage all schools to participate in the Bright Start Family Literacy program to help build the home-school connection.

Parents lined the tables with samples of their children’s work that were completed as part of their homework assignments.
